Bio
Dr. Sebastian Olk is a founding partner of Gütt Olk Feldhaus and advises German and foreign corporations, financial investors as well as family businesses and private clients on all M&A, corporate and commercial law matters. He has many years of broad experience in the areas of M&A and in providing day-to-day advice on corporate law aspects. His expertise particularly covers advising on private equity and venture capital transactions as well as counselling portfolio companies held by financial investors on their corporate and commercial law matters. Sebastian has special expertise in the areas of media, technology and e-commerce in which he recently advised, among others, ProSiebenSat.1 Group company SevenVentures GmbH on its participation in preis24.de GmbH.
Sebastian graduated from Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich and completed his legal traineeship in Munich and New York. He holds a doctorate degree (Dr. jur.) of the University of Regensburg.
Sebastian worked as lawyer specialising in corporate law and M&A at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Munich from 2005 until 2008 and Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP in Munich and New York from 2008 until founding Gütt Olk Feldhaus in October 2011. In 2008, he was seconded as part of a client secondment by Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP to the Group Legal Department of Infineon Technologies AG in Neubiberg/Germany. In 2009, Sebastian worked with the offices of Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy LLP in New York/USA, during which time he advised on several international transactions. Sebastian has been appointed as an examiner for the First State Examination in Law by the Bavarian Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection and as a part-time lecturer at the Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich hosting a seminar on white-collar crime and compliance in 2011. He is the author of numerous publications, particularly in the fields of corporate and private international law.
